Feedin baby food??

Any mommies got an ok by her babys doctor to start feeding her veggies and fruits?

I've been doing it once or twice a week since she turned 4 months. She's getting close to 5 months and really gets into it now. We started straight off with veggies , today was green beans

Ours said to wait until at least six months, but to let baby lead. Meaning, wait until he can sit unassisted. That’s what the aap recommends as well.

My doctor said to start with oatmeal since it has less tendency to cause constipation compared to rice. Then I should move to veggies. So what I’ve been doing is staying with the oatmeal for a little over a week and just increasing the thickness of it. She can sit properly in a Bumbo seat but is too small for the high chair we have. She’s 18 weeks, and seems to enjoy it. 
I had explained to the doctor that she was starting to have massive feeds at night as if she couldn’t be satisfied, and was following along with me while I ate with her mouth gaping open. The doc also saw she had good control of her head, so she said to start her. Hope this helps!

Ours says to wait until 6 months and to skip any cereals all together since she gains nothing from it.

Ours said okay to start when she can sit good in her highchair.  She turned 4 months 12/7.  They said start with oatmeal cereal then progress to veggies then fruit.

Our doctor recommended me to start feeding him some oatmeal when he hits the 4 months mark (next Sunday) I originally wanted to wait but I trust her decision 🤷🏽‍♀️ it’ll only be a spoon or two a day at first so it’s not really that “bad”.
