Is it just me orrrrr?
My SO works in a grocery store & when I forget to pick something up when I go grocery shopping on my own, I ask him and he picks it up. So I completely forgot to pick up cheese and his mom said she can make an extra trip to get it. But I told her she didn’t have to do that I’ll just tell my bf to pick it up, it’s literally no big deal. Her response is “oh no honey, the last thing you wanna do is bug him after he’s had a long day at work”

In my head it’s not making sense to me, but she is sort of a “I do everything for a man” no matter if it’s her husband, her son, her nephew, whatever. I have long days at work too and I get home and do what needs to get done, yet it’s acceptable for a man to not do anything when he gets home from work? No.
It just kinda shook me because she made me feel like I’m being inconsiderate of my SO while at work.
Lmao am I the only one who thinks him picking up the cheese is logical or do you all go out and make the extra trip instead?
To clarify: my bf already works at a grocery store, I forgot to buy cheese, his mom said SHE would make the extra trip to go buy it, I said “no I’ll ask HIM to get it since he’s already there”, she said no & already went to get the cheese herself🤷🏾♀️
