Anyone choosing to have an elective induction? If you are why have you choose this?

My doctor has given me the option to be induced between 39 and 40 weeks if I would like. This is my second pregnancy and it is very tempting to plan it out like this so I know who will watch my daughter. I also like the idea of guaranteeing that I will have my doctor deliver my baby.

My last labor I went into labor naturally, but my contractions weren’t progressing so I had pitocin and was pretty much induced. My labor was about 12 hours and I think everything went really smoothly. I know each labor is different, but because my first went so well I’m tempted to do the induction.

Just wondering others opinions on induction.
