Eggs Benedict & hollandaise sauce??

I’m going to a brunch tomorrow and they’re serving Eggs Benedict, does anyone know if it’s safe to eat it. I’ve read that the Hollandaise sauce is iffy but i want to make sure.

I eat eggs Benedict while pregnant. The worst case is salmonella but if I really thought there was a chance of getting salmonella where I was going I wouldn’t eat there regardless of if I was pregnant or not. My friend got salmonella recently but it was from frozen chicken sticks that were contaminated, it’s really hard to know, the foods that we traditionally associate with food borne illness are often so regulated nowadays that they aren’t dangerous and it ends up being something completely random that gets contaminated and causes a breakout (like lettuce, or goldfish crackers).

Hollandaise sauce is cooked with indirect heat and made from egg yolks. The unsafe portion of the egg is the white. You’re fine!

The egg is not fully cooked through, probably nothing bad will happen but I personally wouldn’t risk it.
