Numb legs?

Has anyone experienced numb/tingling legs as a normal pregnancy symptom? It's happened twice now completely randomly when sitting down, I suffer with pelvic pain but only in my left hip and the tingling has happened in both legs? Is it normal?

I had this really severe with my first. Eventually the numbness never went away and now I have permanent nerve damage that actually caused drop foot because of it and still haven’t been released to work 2.5 years later. Good news, the extent of my nerve injury is incredibly rare and my obgyn said I was the first person he’s ever come across that had it to this extent.  It’s caused by a superficial nerve in your groin, the weight of your uterus and baby is sitting on this nerve and compressing it (wearing tight clothes while pregnant can also exacerbate the issue) When you stand and change position, the numbness should subside and you should be able to feel the area again since the nerve is no longer compressed.  That is completely normal during pregnancy. It only becomes abnormal when the numbness stays. Mine started back at 16 weeks and because of a unique placement of the nerve in my groin, it was constantly compressed. By 20 weeks I no longer could feel my entire left thigh to my knee. By the time I gave birth the nerve compression injury was all the way down to my foot.  If it continues ask for a referral to a neurologist , sadly though there’s not much they can do to alleviate any compression while your pregnant.

I’ve had it happen a few times when sitting yeah. Usually goes away when I stand up though. And ya regular chiro appointments help for sure!

Sciatic nerve is pinched. You go can get an adjustment from a chiropractor to release the nerve. I've had to go a few times.

No, but I did have numbness and tingling in my left arm. I got a massage and it helped!
