Question from Someone NOT on Clomid... yet!

Jordan • Mommy to 12 👧🏼👼🏻👼🏻🧒🏼🧒🏼👼🏻👼🏻👼🏻👼🏻👼🏻👼🏻👶🏻 5 chemicals, 3 miscarriages, 2 twin boys, 1 miracle baby boy and 1 bonus daughter! Wife of my wife 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

My doctor only briefly talked about putting me on Clomid when I last visited, and he ultimately put me on Metformin for help with my PCOS (it did nothing for me). This is when I came in for my second m/c. I explained to him that my husband must be healthy - he's successfully created my step-daughter and he's gotten me pregnant AT LEAST twice. I explained that we'd been TTC for 2 years before I got pregnant with my first... three months pass and I'm pregnant with my second. I lost both. I have never carried a pregnancy to full term, and I've never held my biological children...

Anyways... how did you go about being put on the medication? He never asked for me to come back for a follow-up or check up or anything so I get the idea he doesn't care, and I feel he never pushed for me to get fertility treatment because I'm so young and it's taboo (I went last when I was 19. I'm 20 now, but still own a house, have a healthy relationship with my husband, am successfully raising my now-4 y.o. step-daughter, and we're financially stable). Is my best bet to simply call the doctors office and talk to a secretary about how I'd like to be seen again and talk about changes I could make to help my fertility?

It's been a while since I've last gone and I'm ready to either give up, or try another approach to getting pregnant.

Either way, I'm fed up with infertility... 🤷‍♀️
