Would you say 12.5 pounds for a 5 month old is small?

She was born 2 weeks early and weight 6lbs 10oz. She is breastfed.

I'd say my boy is probably around this same weight now. He's 5 months. But at his 4 month check up he weighed 13.7 and was only in the 13th percentile. My pediatrician didn't seem phased.

I personally think that’s good. My son was two weeks early and was 14 pounds at his 4.5 month appt. The dr said he’s staying right where he should be with his birth weight which was 7lbs 3 oz. (he was 6.8 when we left the hospital due to latching issues)

As long as she is following her growth chart it shouldn’t be an issue. My daughter was born 41+3 and weighed 6lb 3 oz, and was 14 lbs at her 4 month checkup. Ebf

As long as they’re gaining weight that’s all that matters. My daughter was a late term preemie who is now a little over 13 lbs and will be 5 months this Thursday. Her pediatrician wasn’t worried about her weight at her last appt because it has tripled since birth

My daughters doctor said as long as she is double her birth weight by 6 months. My little one was born at 38 weeks 2 days and she was 7lbs 3oz and at her 4 month check up was 14lbs.
