Can you mess up a Strep B test?

Question

I had mine done at my last appointment (36 weeks). A medical student did the swab but she swabbed my clitoris and vagina. Didn’t feel her swab lower near/at my rectum. My results came back negative for Strep B, but I can’t help but wonder if I was swabbed “wrong”?

One tip i never let the student do any of my lab for testing... idk why they can check like my blood pressure and stuff simple things

LOL he/she swabbed your clitoris instead of your rectum?? Omg Lol some students/people are clueless!! DEFINITELY tell your doctor/their preceptor, someone needs to correct this ASAP!!

On a side note- I don’t let medical students/residents do anything. I know they have to learn somehow (I get it, I was once a nursing student) but the fact of the matter is you’re being charged to see their attending- at the attending‘s rate. So, no. You can refuse. 
And in this case, idk for sure but I would guess, if you requested a repeat test you would be charged another office visit and another lab fee. And I’m personally not about spending more $$ when i don’t have to.

It’s supposed to go in your vagina drag down to the angus and a quick poke inside.  Definitely have them retest.

I had mine done Friday and it was done at the same time as my pap. I had to ask after is he swabbed my rectum because I didn’t even feel it!

I would get it redone.
