GBS POSITIVE. My last two babies I was beg. I have super quick labors. Should I ask to be induced??

If the baby comes too quickly for the 2 doses of antibiotics,  4 hours apart, they’ll likely just want to keep you in the hospital 48 hours for observation. The less time spent in the birth canal, the lower the odds of transmission, and the odds are pretty low anyway. Don’t get too worried!

I’m positive as well and I asked my doc if I could be induced due to that and she just advised no and that as soon as I go into labor they’ll start antibiotics. 🤷🏾‍♀️ she said there had to be a medical reason why they induce and I thought I was sure that was a legitimate reason.

With my first I was positive and they just started me on IV antibiotics when they induced me, and then my daughter was on IV antibiotics for a couple days as well as a precaution. I don’t think you necessarily have to request being induced, they’ll likely put you on them when you are admitted. Good luck :)

The things is I usually end up at the hospital for less then 4 hours. And with my last daughter I arrived at the hospital and was 8cm.

Doctor told me if mine came back positive, they would just give me antibiotics. Unfortunately the same day they tested me, the same day I went into labor so they didn’t have the results yet Bc it had been literally about an hour before. They just treated me if I had it just in case

How fast were your other labors? My doctor said if my baby comes too quickly for the antibiotics then he came too quickly to be at any risk.

They’ll treat with antibiotics, no reason to worry! I’m positive too
