PCOS & Surgery

Alright.. This is gonna be a LONG one, but I want to know if anyone else has had this shitty of a time. I’ve had weird periods for as long as I can remember, but because of both of my grandmothers passing away with reproductive cancers, and my mother having precancerous cells scraped off of her cervix multiple times, and my aunt having issues also I have always been scared to go get checked out. My periods always came like once every couple months. I never really had any cramps or pain, I would just have a 4-5 day period. 6 months ago I started getting really heavy periods and was on like a 2 week on, 2 week off type deal. One day in October (while being on my period) I had really sharp pains all day in my right ovary. I then decided that I was going to go get checked out. I made an appointment, she did blood work, diagnosed me with PCOS, scheduled me for an ultrasound and IUD insertion, and started me on a fluid pill and Metformin. I had AWFUL side effects from Metformin for three weeks and I’m still feeling COMPLETELY drained all the time and since starting Metformin I’ve had sharp pains just about every day in both ovaries. Well, bloodwork was normal. No thyroid issues, no hormone issues (weird), and my adrenal glands are fine. We did the ultrasound... I have fibroids on my uterus, my uterine lining is 5 times thicker than normal, a 6 cm cyst on my right ovary, and a 4 cm cyst on my left ovary.. I’m scheduled to have surgery day after tomorrow (the 19th) and I’m extremely nervous because they’ll biopsy my uterine lining and the fibroids to check if I have cancer. I’m only 23 and I’ve been stressing about this since I left her office. Have any of you been through this?
