Progesterone testing recommended?

Question

When would it be advised to test progesterone levels? 
Can I just ask my PCP to get it done? 
I have no prior history of MC or known hormone problems but I’m paranoid about possible low progesterone after reading other members’ posts, esp those who have found low progesterone as a reason for their past Mc. 
This is the first pregnancy for me! Very excited but also very nervous having read about all the things that can go wrong...

If you have no prior history of issues then they will not likely check your HCG or Progesterone. Honestly the majority of women do not have their levels checked because they have no known issues. I knows it’s hard but try to just relax and enjoy things. If you do have any signs of an issue such as spotting then call your OB right away.
