How many Drs did you meet?

I just hit 1 year of trying & am planning on seeing a fertility specialist in the next few months. Is it normal to just pick one clinic or should I be getting a second or third opinion? Thanks!

I think schedule as many initial consults until you find a doc who will listen & make you feel comfortable. My first RE didn’t give me a warm & fuzzy vibe at all. I left and saw another doc who was brutally honest but had empathy when needed. And she always listened. Listening & communicating are BIG dealing with infertility.

When I went to my regular Gyno. I told her my family history and I told her that I was worried that I might have those issues too. She told me that I was fine because I was young and have had my period. 
This year, I went to a reproductive doctor who did a vaginal ultrasound and asked me a series of questions that my first doctor didn’t. I felt so welcome and so ready. After he did the ultrasound he scheduled a surgery and made sure my reproductive health was solid. Now I’m on my first cycled Clomid. 
Moral of the story, don’t stop searching until you find exactly what you want and who you feel comfortable with.

I only had one clinic that my insurance would accept, so I stuck with them. Good luck!

I used 1 clinic for a year and saw 3 drs in it. Then switched to another for IVF and saw 5 drs there.
