Anyone else’s toddlers absolutely hate getting their teeth brushed?

My son screaMs so bad and kicks and makes it so difficult to brush his teeth every day!

He did the first night we held him down but since then he’s grown to enjoy it. I always give him the brush afterwards to gnaw on. If I take it straight away he’ll throw a titty fit.

I’m lucky. Mine comes over mouth open as soon as he sees the toothbrush.

I still use a washcloth with training toothpaste on it and wipe with my finger. She freaks out with a toothbrush. 😩

I heard a random song on Pandora Sesame Street radio that sang “brush your teeth (chee chee shee shee chee (brushing sounds)) and I stuck with that melody when telling her we’re gonna brush our teeth! I would even pull out my own so she can see what to do. I even tell her to open wide like a lion and that gives me 10 seconds to get the molars and gums in the back

Yes we let him do it on his own on the am which means he just bites it and walks around with it and in the night we hold him down and get punched and kicked to get 20 sec worth if brushing 🙇🏽‍♀️

Mine did for a long time but now I think hes used to it. My husband has to literally hold him down while I brush lol 😒
