Why doesn’t my bf want to talk to me?

So I’m in a new relationship, been together almost a month. It’s finals week right now at college. I don’t really text my bf that much, but we at least talk at the end of the day on the phone for an hour or so. Yesterday I texted him at 1pm that I was nervous for my final and he gave me some words of encouragement and said good luck. I said good luck to him too because he had a final right after me and asked him to text me that night so we could talk about how our exams went. Well he never texted me. I snap chatted him around 11pm because our streak had the timer and he snapped back and then i asked how his exams went. He said he was upset because he thinks he got an A- instead of an A and i said that was still good tho and he responded back saying I’m so sick of our schools corrupted system and i was like but just think you’re done next semester! And he responded with “whatever” and left me on read after the message i sent back to that. Yet here he is, active on social media, on our texting app, on Snapchat but hasn’t talked to me. Did i do something wrong? Why doesn’t he want to talk to me? Do i text him or let him reach out? Please help:( i don’t want to seem clingy or needy but i really haven’t talked to him in basically 24 hours now considering it’s 1pm here.
