I am so sick, and so terrified I’m going to get my baby sick.

As terrible as it sounds I would try to go without medication. These medications don’t cure your cold they just suppress your symptoms, you’re still carrying the virus so it won’t help you prevent your baby from getting sick. What will help is breastfeeding LO as much as you can because they will need the fluids and your milk is full of antibodies that protect them.

I took this med, but infrequently and in low doses. I was referred to an infant risk number just in case. Then I got this info from a lactation consultant. I hope this helps.

You should get the app LactMed you can look up different drugs or medications and see what affect it’ll have on your milk or if you can take it or not it’s very handy and my doctor even has it on her phone

When I got sick my Dr advised against it because it'll dry up your milk. I sanitized my hands throughout the dat and my lo didn't get sick. Just make sure your hands are clean 😊
