I've never really spoken about this, but this feels like the place. 10 years ago I was in a very emotionally abusive relationship. I let myself fall into his way of life and it wasn't long before we were homeless (living out of my car) and addicted to heroine and meth (and doing any other drugs we could get our hands on). I had been using the NuvaRing, but decided that it wasn't for me and went back to Deposit. They gave me a pregnancy test before giving me the shot, it came back negative. However, when I went back for my next shot I was told that I was 4 months pregnant.

4 months of me drinking every day (usually heavily) and using a profuse amount of illicit drugs. I knew that not only was I in no position to be a mother at that time in my life, but I was absolutely mortified to think about what kind of damage I had done to my baby. I opted to abort that pregnancy and it was not an easy choice...one that I catch myself wondering about often. Although, I never doubt that I made the right decision.

Well, I'm happy to say that I now have 6 years clean and sober (my ex wound up overdosing some time after I broke up with him). I have been happily married to my husband for 3 years, and we are now expecting our first child in April. I am very thankful that the universe has allowed me the opportunity, not only to make a complete 180 degree turn around in life, but also to be expecting!

I had to have a medical abortion, it was either my life or the babies... I mean it sucks and tears you apart. But I wouldn't judge a person before you know the whole story.

I've never had an abortion but I'm doing a research paper on it and there shouldn't be a reason that you wouldn't be able to get pregnant after

I've been pregnant 6 times since my abortion. If everything is done properly than your fertility won't be affected

Not me but my SIL had 2 abortions and was able to conceive after both of them
