Scalding fresh milk!

Omg! How is it that 5 months in to breastfeeding is that I hearing this for the first time!

I went back to work a month or so ago, and before that I was able to freeze 100 or so oz of milk.

I noticed that baby isn’t it taking it too well, and at first I thought it was because we were having bottle issues.

The last couple of time I taste the milk and it doesn’t taste bad, it taste bitter or almost soapy. like the usual sweetness has disappeared. A google search after and I realized that is all thanks to lipase and me not scalding the milk before freezing.

Most babies have no trouble with drinking milk with a little after Taste, not mine. He much rather drink formula than drink frozen breast milk... what a catastrophe. I’m so disappointed and discouraged.
