Does this sounds like a good day of pumping vrs feedings?
I did a trial run today with my Mom where I pumped at the times I normally would plan to at work, and she gave my son bottles.
I last breastfed my son starting at 6am, then the following bottles were given:
9AM - 5oz
12PM - 4oz
3PM - 4oz
Now feeding him myself again at 6pm when I would be home from work..
I pumped the following:
9AM - 6.75oz in 20 mins
12PM - 6.75oz over 40 minutes of ‘power pumping’
3PM - 2.5oz in 20 mins
So my baby took 13oz total by 3 bottles, while I pumped 16oz... he was a little fussy and hungry by the time I fed him at 6pm, so I am thinking it would probably be better if he had 4 bottles with 4oz each..
Does this sound normal? I am a bit concerned my 3pm pumping session was only 2.5oz.. 😣 I am sure every day is different, I just want to understand if this sound typical, or if there are any suggested changes?
