we haven't had sex or anything and we aren't planning to but it's not ruled out and I'm open to it... age of consent here is 16. what are your opinions? we've just made out and shit

I just don't see why he feels the need to have sex with someone your age.... That rubs me the rub way. I'm 20 and can't see myself going for a 17 year old like...

I don't think it's cool. I wouldn't allow it for my daughter. People are saying 3 years is not a big difference, but it is. And I don't see why a 20 year old would wanna be with a 17 year old!

I mean it is only 3 years and it wouldn’t matter if you were 25 and he was 28. But the maturity level between your age and his is a big jump since you’re still in school. I can’t see how he’d be able to go for someone that young but each to their own I guess

Even if it is legal I wouldn’t be ok with my daughter doing it. 
3 years is a big age difference. He’s been a legal adult for a few years, probably been in college for awhile, probably had a job for awhile, probably has his own place etc etc
Most 17 year olds are still in highschool worrying about prom, living at home, funded by their parents etc etc. 
When I was 17 I had a lot of friends dating older guys and didn’t see how weird it was until I was 20 and had some male friends dating high schoolers.

If your parents/guardians are fine with it, I don’t see the issue. 
Otherwise, no it really isn’t that big of a deal.
I was 17, & my ex was 21. But he turned out to be psychopath. 🤣
