How many ounces?!??

So I saw an article that said 6 month olds should be eating 8 ounces of solid food a day. That seemed like a lot to me. My little isn’t eating near that! He just turned 6 months old yesterday and for the past few weeks have been giving food every other day. Now just starting him every day. Is anyone else’s baby not eating near that much?

My 6 month old is still eating the 2oz containers twice a day plus rice cereal some mornings. I am going to go up to the 4 ounce containers though soon cuz my little love is almost 20lbs and hungry lol 😂. He’s so sweet! He’s up to 7oz breast milk every 3 hrs still too except for at night. He doesn’t wake up at all at night.

It’s depends on the day. If our little one takes a nap or wants to sit in his high chair or if he is just having a cranky day. Some days he gets baby food and bottles and somedays just bottles. For now until we get on a good schedule with him we just wing it and try to get it in there as much as we can I wouldn’t stress too much.

My baby does eat two four ounce containers of baby food a day. Four ounces for dinner and four for supper. I have a very big boy though and he loves his food. Not all babies are gonna eat the same amount. Just let him eat the amount that makes him happy!
