I had my first when I was 19. She was unplanned, and I wouldn't change it for the world, but I wish I'd have been older and more financially stable with a partner to help. Being a single mom is the most rewarding yet biggest struggle a young woman can face.

My parents were young when they had me! They were 18 years old and really struggled! It ended in divorce and I did not want to go down the same path! I'm 20 years old and I've been married for a year and I'm hoping a have a few more years before my first baby! I still have some things I want to do! Like get my Bachelors in Psychology, TRAVEL, start my Masters degree, have a career I can enjoy!! I'm so anxious to be a mom and my husband is to be a dad but I have time! :) I say the right time is whe you feel that you have done everything and what's missing in your life is a child! That's how I'll know when I'm ready!!

I was 2 months away fom being 23 when I had my son. Married 2.5 years. My mom was 18 and my husband's mom was 17 when they had us, learned from their mistakes.

Did you know that the brain isn't completely formed until age 25? That's crazy! Some dr's debate age 26 as well.

​ Interesting.... Having a baby and being balanced are two different things. Just because a woman can have a baby (or life on her own) doesn't make her a good well balanced mature momma.
