Progesterone

Lillie

We had our first appointment Tuesday and because I've had 8 miscarriages over a span of 3 years the midwife went ahead and showed us our little circle on the ultrasound which does have a stem in it! She also started me on progesterone which we managed to get insurance to cover today so we picked it up. There was some confusion between what I was told to do which is put the pill next to my cervix and what the prescription said which is take orally so I'll call and ask tomorrow but I've gone ahead and taken the pills today. We have a follow up with one of the practice drs next wed with a better ultrasound and we'll discuss whether I'll need the cervix stitch since I should've had that done with my son 11 years ago this month. I'm loving the practice that I found because right off the bat the midwife took my concerns seriously and didn't just brush it off because I'm too young to have these kinds of issues or because of my bipolar disorder I'm making it into a bigger deal than it is. I just needed somewhere to talk since we haven't let family know yet until we're all together for Christmas.
