Bittersweet Love

Love,

Love is a special word. Love is a beautiful thing.

Life is too short to not tell a single person that you adore and care about your feelings.

As did I tonight.

I love him.

I told him, I love you.

Maybe as a man, he wasn’t as vulnerable as I.

As he sat pondering and I awaited a response the room stayed silent.

He then said he would love me one day, and it would be true.

Apart of me was really happy.

The other part was blue.

I felt a bit of rejection, but smiled.. I then sealed our conversation with a kiss.

Now as he leaves and I lay in bed I wonder about all the things that were running through my head.

Tonight I feel a fool.

I feel a fool, for telling you how I feel about you.
