Food on floor?

Is it okay to place a few pieces of cereal on the floor to keep the baby occupied while washing your baby's cup to put cereal in it?

I mean, if the floor is clean.... babies eat off the floor if they can find something or put things in their mouth off the floor. If baby is on the floor it should be clean enough for them to eat off but that’s just me.

The baby is not going to starve while you are washing the cup. No, there really is not any occasion in which I'd find it acceptable to put my child's food on the floor. I have the dishes washed before he needs to eat. If I ever didn't, I'd place it on the high chair tray. If that was for some reason not available and the dishes were dirty, I'd occupy him with toys or just have him wait the minute it takes to wash a single dish.
