What do contractions feel like?

I’m having consistent what I THOUGHT were Braxton Hicks but they are coming regularly (haven’t timed them yet). I feel my belly get hard but there’s little to no pain. Just a lot discomfort and a feeling of sort of dizziness? This has been for 45 minutes. Should I find them?
I’m 38 weeks. I just thought contractions would feel like cramping but it’s not painful.

Sounds like my labor contractions time them if they are close go in that's only way to know if your in labor

Kinda sounds like false labor, I had that the night before active labor started and it lasted a hour.

Those sound like contractions, but that doesn’t mean it’s active labor. Probably early (sometimes called “false”) labor, which can last for weeks. Active labor contractions happen at regular intervals, getting closer together over time, normally more painful, and don’t stop. Try lying down (or changing positions, even getting up and walking if that’s a change), drinking water, or taking a bath or shower. If they go away, it’s not active labor.

Mine weren’t painful during my first pregnancy.  More annoying than anything.  When I went to the hospital I was 5 cm dialated
