I’ve been going to the chiropractor for a few weeks now for my neck. This past visit I had my 2 year old son with me. While he was adjusting me (I was on my stomach on the table) my son grabbed my feet and then a couple seconds later the Dr touched my neck at the same time. I laughed and said that I thought he was the one at my feet. The Dr then proceeded to tell me a story about a woman who had come in with her daughter and the daughter had slapped her butt while she was getting adjusted. The Dr then proceeded to slap my butt and say “kind of like this”. It wasn’t like hard or anything but he literally slapped my ass? He’s a very well known chiropractor in my area and I have been going back and forth with so many thoughts. It’s been a day and a half now and idk. Seeing what you ladies would do. My boyfriend is so upset. My mom told me I should file a complaint. My head has been back and forth because if he can do it to me with my son in the room then what about all his other female clients?

I took the question mark off the original post. I do understand it was inappropriate. I’m just not sure where to go from here. He’s so popular in my community and I’m just lost. I want to add that when I was 13 (I’m 29 now) I was raped by a 21 year old. It was such an emotional situation to go through with the courts at that age. I was threatened by his friends and family for a long time.

All I can think about it that it was a slap of the butt so I will be okay. But I also think he totally violated my privacy and I’m sure he has others. This is where I’m stuck. I feel weak that I can’t bring myself to do something about it.
