I am really dreading the holidays...

My extended family is incredibly intrusive and tactless when it comes to questions about my baby.

I have not been able to breastfeed my son because he simply won’t latch. No lactation consultant has been able to help (I’ve seen several) and I pump exclusively, and have since he was born.

I have two sisters in law who also just had babies, and exclusively breastfeed. I’m constantly getting questions about why I’m not breastfeeding and when I explain, I get comments about not trying hard enough, and comparisons like, “oh, my son was fussy at first too. You just need to stick with it.” It’s insulting.

Any tips on fielding these rude comments and intrusive questions at my family gatherings coming up? I feel like I’m going to snap at the next judgmental mom who offers their feeding advice.
