Would you tell your parents?

Hi all. I'm conflicted and looking for what others would do. My parents have known all about our struggles to get pregnant and always been there for me. Without all the details I'm wondering this. Would you tell them when you see them for Christmas but it would be before my first ultrasound or wait? If I don't tell them now I probably won't see them again for a couple of months. I'm exactly 4 weeks. It's just my parents. I really want to tell them now but not sure. To tell or not to tell them that we're having a Christmas miracle?

If you would tell them if you had a miscarriage, tell them! If you wouldn’t want to share that, then wait. There should be no shame sharing either so do what feels right to you!!

We told my in laws last night.  I’m 5w2d.  We have an ultrasound Wednesday and as long as that goes well, we will be telling my family next Saturday.

When I did my IVF cycle, I told my parents after I got my positive beta. I told my in-laws after the u/s (because they didn’t know we went thru IVF). With my FET cycle, we didn’t tell either parents until after the first u/s (no one knew we did FET).

Thank you all! I totally forgot that my brother and wife will be there too, but they also have always known about our struggles. I still think I'm going to stick with my gut and tell them.

Tell them! It will make their day. If anything happened you would tell them right? That’s how I felt when I told my parents at 5.5 weeks.

I personally waited until I was out of my first trimester.  My husband and I struggled for so long I did not want to "jinx" myself by telling.  My sister told everyone the second she found out and 3 days later had a miscarriage.  She said telling everyone about the miscarriage was the hardest and she wish she would have waited to announce.
