I boiled my cup for exactly 5 minutes & exactly the way the instructions say. After I was done, I did notice it felt softer than usual but I thought it was just because it was still warm. Well my period started yesterday & my cup leaked ALL DAY. I would remove it & nothing would even be in the cup. It was opening inside of me but wouldn’t form a suction. I cried Bc I was so frustrated Bc this is my 3rd cycle w the cup & i felt like I mastered it- It didn’t make sense why I was leaking! Then I figured it being too soft was the reason for the leaking. I went & bought a new cup & no leaks at all. So if you boil your diva cup, be VERY careful. I still have no idea what I did wrong Bc I did it by the instructions so no more boiling for me. Any other ideas on how to sanitize it after my period??
