Is it possible to have a false positive on a test for chlamydia?

So I was told I have chlamydia, treated it, and didn’t feel better a week later. So I went to another doctor who ran all the tests again. She told me the chlamydia would still be positive because it’s reactive for about 4 weeks even if you’ve been treated, but they were surprised to see that my test came back NEGATIVE for chlamydia and POSITIVE for BV.

Is it possible I had a false positive the first time? I also had to notify my partners and all of them said they didn’t have it so 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️
