My boyfriend and I exchanged gifts yesterday. I got him a new surround sound system, a watch, gift card, hat, and wallet. He opened the sound system last and said he didn’t want it and for me to return it. I was a little hurt but I understood. Then he kept saying things like “it’s okay you’ll do better next year” “return it and get something else I will like” “I told you what I wanted but you don’t listen to me” “I feel short changed” “you can exchange it for air pods and you’ll be saving money too” (he told me he didn’t want air pods though or that was the first thing on my list for him). I cried a lot but I also am 24 weeks pregnant so I’m very emotional. Did I overreact by crying? What would you ladies do if you were in this situation? Exchange the system for something else? He made me feel I should. I was thinking of giving it to my mom or just returning it. Thank you in advance.
