Ovulating on the pill?

I posted a question on here earlier about ovulation on the pill. People say that the pill prevents you from ovulating, but I’m wondering how it’s possible to get pregnant even on birth control. My mother got pregnant while she was on birth control with me even though she took them on time and never missed a pill. I’m confused?

Not to mention you have to be very careful on what medicine you take with the birth control pill because certain medicines can make it less effective

Yes it prevents u from ovulating but if u miss pills or don’t take them on time there’s a higher chance u will become pregnant. BC is 99% effective when taken perfectly but the drops to 95% when not.
