When to start taking the pill

Hi so I’m about to start taking the contraceptive pill, the doctor said I have to wait till the first day of my next period but my period has just finished is it ok to just start taking it or do I need to wait till next month?

you’re supposed to start it the sunday after your period ends ideally

Actually not all pills you have to start after. I started taking mine the first day of my period because that’s what my doctor suggested. You could do a “quick start” and start then any time but you may have more breakthrough bleeding as your body adjusts
