Feeling Guilty About Sex?

Question

Why do I feel so guilty about sex? And how can I stop feeling guilty? I am a Christian and my parents have always been EXTREMELY religious but they’re finally getting out of the religious, lawful, part and more into the faith if you will? Anyways I’m 17 and i understand that it’s a special but also a NATURAL thing.. Im a virgin which makes it all the weirder. But I think of it and I have been more recently, and then I just feel super guilty and gross about it...
   How can I stop feeling this way and just own up to it?

You've grown up being taught a specific attitude towards sex, over many years, so be prepared for it to take a while for you to undo these thought patterns. It's good that you've already come to your own conclusion about sex, which appears to be a sensible one. So just to work on the guilt now. Maybe try self- talk and educating yourself about female sexuality & about virginity as a construct etc. Education and reading about different view points will probably help a lot!

Don’t feel guilty... Sex is created by God and is a natural thing to think about. Whatever your choice is o would recommend talking to an expert and educating yourself on it. I’m married and still sometimes feel guilty about having sex. But guilt and condemnation don’t come from God. 
It’s okay to educate yourself to be ready for the future.
