I think it needs to be as dark as the control line for it to be positive. I would start every day tho.

That is a negative. The test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line. Then you have 12-36 hours after you reach your peak to fertilize the egg. Keep testing. Your lines will get darker. Good luck and baby dust!!
