When should I make my first appt?

I found out I’m pregnant like 5 days ago and I was wondering when I should make my first prenatal appointment with my gyno. My estimated due date is August 26... my last period started November 19.. so I’d be around five weeks according to app. I heard some doctors won’t want to see you til 8 weeks but I’m going off an estimated time frame. Thoughts?

I just found out as well and my doctor said between 8 and 10 weeks is good for a first appointment. Good luck and congrats!

I called my doctor 2 days after I got my positive reads. It’s scheduled a little far out, 3 weeks from when I called, so that will mark me at 6w when I go. I encourage calling ASAP, that way you can have some flexibility with what day and time!😊

Years ago, I realized I was late so took a hometest. Positive. I called my GP the next day and was seen that afternoon, where she confirmed I was pregnant. I called my OB/GYN right then and had an appointment scheduled for following afternoon. I knew I couldn't be that far along. OB did vag ultrasound and sonogram and said I was almost 6 weeks. I've always called the min I found out for first appointment. I'll be calling drs tomorrow!
