boyfriend lavalier

SO a little birdie told me that my boyfriend who is in Phi Sigma Kappa (ΦΣΚ) is giving me a lavalier!! (A necklace with his fraternity letters on it. I just want to know how big of a deal it is??? Like I’ve been told this is HUGE but I would be the first girl in his fraternity to receive one.
