I got off my birth control in February when my husband and I decided to TTC. Over the last six months, my periods have been very hard to predict, most cycles lasting anywhere from 42-54 days. Today I am on cycle day 30. I have been expecting to ovulate soon (or thought I should have already - started taking ovulation tests last Thursday, with negative results everyday since). But this morning I started spotting, and now this afternoon I am experiencing heavy bleeding. Looks like it could be my period. I'm really confused? Has anyone experienced similar mid-cycle bleeding? Should I be concerned? Should I schedule an appointment with my OBGYN?
