Anyone else's baby does this?

I am 33 weeks pregnant.
When I rub my belly and talk to my little one he kicks or moves to answer but he doesn't do it consistently HOWEVER whenever his dad does it, he kicks enthusiastically, he always moves to the side of the belly where his dad is. Everytime we have a conversation about him with my husband, baby always comes closer to the surface of my bump to listen. 
Does anyone else's baby does that? Does that mean baby has a preference for his dad? Or is it because he is already in my womb so he doesn't miss me as much ??
I am not jealous of my husband or anything but a bit curious.

Your baby hears your voice as coming from the inside. It's omnipresent in the entire area that surrounds him and it doesn't have to move to where the sound comes from, because it comes from everywhere. It hears the dads voice as coming from the outside so it has to strain more to hear it better.

Since the very first movement 😂 I came rushing home in tears one day somewhere in the 20ish weeks because I hadn’t felt baby move - my husband raced in and called out for me from the entry, and I shit you not, kick kick kick. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Dad’s the fave, it’s clear 😜

I’m 30 weeks and my little guy hasn’t been kicking me as hard but he’s still kicking and moving like crazy. However when his dad comes and touches my stomach and talks to him, he kicks hard and doesn’t stop. I don’t know if it’s a preference for one parent over the other, I just look at it as maybe he’ll be a daddy’s boy, maybe he just likes to hear his daddy’s voice. Not really sure!
