Need peace of mind!
I finally made it to my nine month mark yesterday and had two appointments. An NST and a growth scan.
My five year old was sweet enough to join me and was just an angel.
But the appointments didn’t go well. They left me nervous and with questions.
My baby girl didn’t have any accelerations during the NST.
And at the growth scan, they’re estimating she weighs 4.7pounds...
I swear they estimated her weight to be about that much a month ago too.
My concern is that I’m scheduled for a membrane sweep in 6 days and scheduled for induction in 11 days if the membrane sweep doesn’t work...isn’t she still going to be too small? I’ve read that anything under 5.8pounds is considered low birthweight.
What questions do you suggest I ask my doctor on Monday?
Also, this may be an important tidbit: I’m being induced due to chronic hypertension and polycystic kidney disease.
Please help a first time birth momma out 😔
UPDATE 12/31/2018:
Thank goodness for my regular doctor and husband! I had an NST and appointment today and my husband expressed our concerns to the doctor and her response was, “Oh no, you’re baby girl is in the 51st percentile and weighed approximately 6.4 pounds and should be about a 7 pounder which is perfect”.
I can’t believe that incompetent ultrasound tech who misspoke so terribly. I was so worried! Thank you all for your responses and helping to give me peace of mind before my appointment 💗 Just 8 more days before I’m due to be induced.

Hubby is hoping it rains so he can come home from work early and take care of his babies. (He left work to come to my appointment)
