Ovulation testing?

So yesterday I took an ovulation test and the line wasn’t as dark as the test line so I figured today it would be about the same or darker and the test from today was a very very faint line.. what does that mean? A faulty test? I’m not supposed to ovulate according to both my apps for 3 days..

it just means you’re still not that close! make sure you try to test around the same time of day and now that you’re supposed to ovulate soon, test twice a day about 8-12 hrs apart
