What’s the next step after clomid?

If clomid fails me after 6months what is the usual next step? It’s helping me ovulate but I only have two months left. So I’m just trying to be prepared.

My doc said she would refer me to an RE after six months of clomid and no bfp. My guess is they will do more testing and probably go on to either injectable meds and/or IUI. My doc already did a sperm analysis on my husband and we’re going to do an HSG test on my uterus clomid cycle 4. These are things an RE would do if your obgyn doesn’t.
