So I'm thinking of going back on the pill (birth control) till I'm ready to try again so my question is for those who don't have their menstrual by themselves and don't ovulate was or are on birth control that will help regulate ovulation afterwards

Hi there. Prior to being on birth control, I was having very irregular periods from ovarian cysts. I've been on birth control since I was 18 and after two different pills (that I had horrible side effects from) I finally have the correct combination I need. Now that I've been on birth control my cycles have been regular and although I still have problems with cysts (I have a history of them) at least I can expect my periods every month. 
Sometimes it can take a while to find the right medication. Don't worry and if you have any questions you can always call your obgyn's office to ask or you can also write down notes to ask during an appointment.
