Frequent gas drops?

Question

My 2 month old gets uncomfortable from gas quite often and gas drops work wonders. My concern is if I give them to him too often? We go through a bottle every week or so. I don’t go over the recommended dose per day. I just didn’t know if long term usage would cause any issues. Thank you

A bottle a week? I’ve been on the same bottle for almost 2 months and I use them with almost every feeding. Are you using the correct dosage?

Are you using gripe water?  It says it can be used fairly frequent but that does seem like a lot of your going through a bottle a week. We used it often at first as well, even adding it to the bottle, but it would last atleast a month, if not more. If you have concern about your BF dosing right after you, make a chart or something so it’s clear when and how much baby has received. Even though it’s safe, baby shouldn’t get double doses. Also try some natural things for gas as well. Bicycle legs, belly massage and holding baby on belly (kinda like a football hold) and rub it’s back.

They are safe.. but that just means there's no known issues currently out there in connection with the daily use of gas drops as most babies will outgrow it.. but I'd probably suggest some exercises like bicycling his little legs or if you have him in your lap take his legs and push them up and into him and that should help him get some gas out.. if he's bottle fed, stopping frequently to burp him.
