It’s almost 2019 we need to get off the “traditional” bullshit. If you have the money to buy dinner for your SO go for it! He doesn’t have to always pay. That includes date nights and anything else in your relationship that “traditional men pay for”. IMO 😊

I’m married now so everything is ours.
Never did I pay for a date when I seeing him or anyone else.
I’m very traditional. I think a man should pay for everything (if he’s with me) 🤷🏾‍♀️

I did for the first 3 months of our relationship honestly.  He had gotten out of the marines and was having a harder time transitioning so a job right out of the gate didn’t happen...when he did get the job it was a month before they started him and then another couple of weeks before his first check... he bought me an iPad with his first check.   We’ve been together ever since... and we would take turns paying for dates but now I’m a SAHM and he obviously pays

Married we share everything so yes. While dating I always offered and sometimes he would accept. Nearly half if the time I insisted but many times he would make a big deal about wanting to do it so I would let him. I think he enjoyed knowing I at least considered paying

Married now, but for regular dates I think it should go to whoever asked the person on the date first. Then afterwards if you’re habitually dating it should be split. From there, like if it’s your SO, it makes sense for you to trade off.

Who ever has the cash pays. Sometimes it’s his money in my wallet and sometimes it’s the other way around. Sometimes it’s my money sometimes it his. Regardless we see it all as ours. When we first got together though it was always just who ever had money.
