is birth control better than condoms ?

i’ve been on birth control for a while now and i’ve always taken it ON THE DOT and never late ( latest i’ve taken it was nine minutes off the mark ) .. i have sex with my boyfriend often and have never gotten pregnant but i keep seeing posts about birth control being problematic . i assume that it’s because most people can never always take their pill on time and end up getting pregnant but i just want to make sure i’m okay having sex without a condom , i’m worried

They both have their flaws. You could get sick & need antibiotics that clashes with the birth control pills. You could get super busy & miss a few (if you just miss one you can double up the next day & be just fine). With a condom it could break. You could always do both? Lol

I was on the BC pill for 10 years and got pregnant two months after being off of it. 8 years of that was with my now husband and we did not use other forms of protection. 
After my daughter was born I had an IUD for two years and did not use other forms of protection. I had it removed and am now pregnant with our second child! As long as you’re responsible about taking it and monitor your health it’s a really effective method of contraception! You do have to be responsible, though.

Birth control protects against pregnancy while condoms protect against pregnancy and STDs. Using both is the best way to protect yourself.

The only time bc is not effective is when it's not taken correctly or when you use other medications that counteract the birth control.. like I know almost all birth control says not to use st John's wort while on birth control because it can cause your birth control to stop working

Bc is usually 99% effective, condoms are 98%.  I think as long as you’re using at least one you’ll be good.

I don't know how accurate this statement is but I hear that antibiotics cancel out your birth control so be careful when taking those.  And if you're very concerned I'm sure you're doctor can answer any questions or concerns much better than I can.
