Is it true that a lot of people have herpes?

I always see people on here saying that almost everyone has herpes or is a carrier but I’ve been tested and I’m 100% clean. I find it ridiculous to assume everyone has it

It’s that a vast majority of people are a carrier of the herpes virus (most commonly called cold sores). Some people are carriers and do not experience outbreaks. It’s not ridiculous, it’s science.

Both cold sores and chicken pox are different strains of herpes so if you have had either one, you technically have “herpes” too. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 
But the strain that causes colds sore can be dormant and either rarely cause an outbreak or even never cause an outbreak but you cant still have it even if it’s asymptotic

We all carry a strain of it, just like cancer cells. It’s if it’s activated or not .
