Tv in the nursery?

So my husband and I aren't big fans of kids and tv, we don't have a tv in our bedroom because we don't think people should rely on them, with that being said I kind of want to put a tv in a nursery, so I can have it on while feeding or pumping, and so our daughter has it if it makes her feel comfy, would you?

Ultimately your choice. When I'm feeding baby I just use my phone. Also just so you are aware it is not recommended that baby sleep in his or her own room til at least 6 months.

I answered no on impulse but on second thought who the hell cares? You’ll probably be spending lots of time in the nursery with your child caring for her so why the hell shouldn’t you have something to entertain you while you’re breastfeeding for example? I’d just take it out once baby starts showing attention to the tv

If you don’t like kids and TVs and don’t think people should rely on them then why put one in your daughters room so she can learn from an early age to rely on it? I definitely wouldn’t start the habit if it’s not something you want to continue down the road. It will be much easier to just establish the lack of tv now than it will be to break the habit down the road. I think TVs in bedrooms can be super distracting for kids and make it harder for them to sleep.

I am against TV for young children, especially babies. It changes the development of the brain. There have been many studies done on it. It makes me so sad when I see small babies with an IPad in front of them. But, it is up to you and how you want to parent.

I rarely use her room, but for storage of her things. I nurse, and pump in the living room in a comfy chair. My hubby and I are huge tv people and we probably won’t put one in her room for a few years.

I have a comfy chair in the nursery and thought I'd be in there feeding or pumping. Reality is I've only fed her in the nursery a handful of times. I either feed her in the livingroom or in my bed before she goes to her crib. I only even stepped foot in the nursery to change her until about 5 months when she started sleeping in her crib.

Noooooooo. After 4 months my baby was so distractible that even light from a window would interfere with him staying latched to feed. TV? Forget about it.

We have one in the room that will be the nursery. It was the play room for the last 2 years 🤷🏼‍♀️ I wouldn’t use it for baby, but for myself I will!
