My child is in his terrible two. I get that hitting is a phase that will eventually pass at least to some degree with whatever reenforcement we choose.

My issue, is when our child does it and I say No! My husband will make excuses for the hitting "oh he was just excited /happy".

It makes me irrate. Not just that the child is hitting me but that his father is saying it's ok to hit mommy if he feels happy or whatever it may be.

I bring this up with my husband and he just sighs and ignores my concerns.

What to do? Obviously the child hitting me is a no go but the husband excusing the behavior very much bothers me.
