So I’m 19 I’m turning 20. I graduated high school and got a 4.7 gpa and got all 4 years of my bachelors Paid for through a scholarship. I’m not irresponsible and I’m quite motivated and I volunteer at the hospital and I knit hats for babies. Basically what I’m trying to say is that I’m a kinda smart and nice person. And I told them that this family relationship is unhealthy and toxic and I don’t enjoy living here because my father belittles me, insultes me constantly and controls my life amongst a lot of other psychologically damaging things. It’s been this way since I was little. I’m paying for my own school and they still control my schedule ( gave me a Saturday class so i “don’t have a social life”) there a lot of mentally abusive and controlling things my father has done and I could write a novel. I just don’t know what to do at this point because I want a job but I’m not allowed to get one and they hold everything over my head like I’m an incompetent ungrateful toddler. To give you an idea my dad has called me worthless, pathetic, stupid, unmotivated, ungrateful, etc. And my sisters and I aren’t allowed to talk over the dinner table like a normal family because it’s “stupid”. Even called my veterinary assistant certification “a piece of shit”

He has punched a hole in the bathroom door after having an argument with me (basically him yelling at me for a solid 30 min and I’m not exaggerating the time I timed it) and my mom lied saying he tripped and banged his head against it. This family really is toxic and yet I’m never going to be listened to here. Little to say now. But it’s always been this way and I’m just wondering if anybody has advice or ideas where to start working, what scholarships to apply for, fundraisers I can start, hell I’ll even take a computer job from home. Anything to get out of this house.

UPDATE: I got a job and I’m applying for an apartment soon. I have the stuff I need to move out. Just need to get the apartment 😊 soon. And life is turning up. I have 5 classes this semester and I finished all the work for the semester of statistics in a week and I’m on my way to completing International Relations! I should technically have 3 classes by Sunday! I also start working on Wednesday!
